The multicenter study group, with its study center in Aachen, used various examination methods, such as FibroScan\u00ae, lung function tests, and laboratory analyses. Furthermore, they explored how individuals might benefit from new drug trials.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #004267;\">The day in numbers:<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Sixty-six patients were examined, 43 of whom had Pi*ZZ. There were a total of 18 initial examinations and 48 follow-up examinations. The team, led by PD Pavel Strnad, was ideally staffed with 15 people on the clinical side and nine people working concurrently in the laboratory.<br \/>\nIn addition to the examinations, there was a lively exchange among the patients at the buffet and at the information stands of CSL, Grifols and us, as well as interesting lectures at noon and in the afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>It was a thoroughly successful day, which took place in cooperation with Alpha1 Deutschland e.
