The Evangelical Lung Clinic Berlin, specifically the Alpha-1 Center Berlin, invited participants to an event on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, for certified continuing education on COPD and Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency.
Our group leader, his deputy – SHG Alpha1- Berlin-Brandenburg-, as well as several members of our group, participated in this event.
Following the welcome address by the professor from the Protestant Lung Clinic, lectures were given:
-Current treatment options for alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency
-Update Asthma and COPD
-Therapeutic concepts based on case studies
During the lectures, in a relaxed atmosphere, many questions were asked and answered by the speakers.
Our self-help group was able to invite three new Alpha 1 patients as guests to our event in November.
The new senior physician of the Clinic for Pneumology (Evangelical Lung Clinic Berlin) introduced himself to those present at the event and informed them that from November 2018 Alpha 1 patients will again be able to receive care at the Evangelical Lung Clinic Berlin.
After the presentations, all participants were invited to a buffet for informal discussions.
