The goal of Alpha1 Germany is to raise awareness of the rare disease Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency among doctors, researchers, and the general public. Therefore, we organize regular information days for adults and children, publish our Alpha1 Journal twice a year, and offer a platform for exchange and information through our website.

For donations up to €300, there is a simplified procedure for issuing donation receipts. Firstly, you will need proof of payment. This can be a cash deposit slip or a bank statement. Secondly, you must provide a simplified donation certificate to prove the recipient's non-profit status. You can obtain this here:

The tax office does not require a donation form issued and signed by the association for donations up to €300. For amounts over €300, please provide your address. You will then receive a recognized donation receipt.

Here we present a variety of contributions to original and impressive campaigns that actively support our association financially in carrying out its tasks.
Alpha1 Germany will receive €30,000 in funding in 2025 through the statutory health insurance (GKV) joint funding program for self-help initiatives at the federal level. Information on previous years can be found below under "Transparency.".
Our work relies on the support of donations and the collaboration of dedicated individuals. You can contribute in many different ways.
With the motto "Donate instead of giving gifts," you can collect donations for a good cause instead of presents at special occasions such as birthdays, weddings, or christenings. For example, you could set up a donation box or ask your guests to make a donation directly to Alpha1 Germany. We would be happy to support you in your endeavor and send you informational materials about our organization. Following the motto "Do good and talk about it," we issue a certificate for every fundraising activity and feature it on our website.
A funeral is a sad occasion, and we are deeply touched to receive donations on the occasion of memorial services. We dedicate all our efforts to combating the effects of alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, hoping to also show our support for the deceased.
Quick tip: Please agree on a reference for your bank transfers. This will allow us to allocate your donations correctly. We issue donation receipts for all cash payments and for bank transfers of €200 or more at the beginning of the following year. For transfers under €200, your bank statement serves as proof of donation.
Doing good beyond one's own life
Confronting one's own mortality is difficult for almost everyone. But those who live their lives autonomously should also decide what happens to their estate. One wish might be to do good even after death and donate to charitable organizations, such as Alpha1-Deutschland e.V. Call for donations among your friends, colleagues, or online. Whether it's a charity run, a fundraising flea market, or a bake sale – anything that's fun and helps a good cause is welcome. We'd be happy to advise and support you with your event – just get in touch.
