My first experiences with LOT.

Before I begin writing about these experiences, I would like to make it clear: I am doing much better now than I have in the last two years.
Since my rehabilitation at the Espan Clinic in Bad Dürrheim, I have also been receiving liquid oxygen. Unfortunately, my oxygen levels were so low that a concentrator couldn't deliver the necessary amount.
I was already much more mobile while in the clinic and was even able to take walks up to the forest café and the salt lake.
The reaction from my family was shocking. Well, actually, only one of my sisters-in-law (it wasn't Anke). I love my family, I love my sister-in-law too, but what she said in Bad Dürrheim took my breath away again.
When I mentioned that I was afraid my employer would tell me I could no longer deliver cars with customer contact, she said to me: "Well, just take off those nose glasses for now! You've lived without them until now and you're not going to drop dead!"„
I bet some of you have had similar experiences. The second thing that confused me a bit was the swimming instructor at the pool around the corner.
I'm a good swimmer, and now with oxygen, even better. Sure, the rope gets in my way a bit and limits my range somewhat, but it works. Except for those blind fish…! The lifeguard is worried that some people won't see the oxygen hose in the water and will get tangled up in it, panic, and then the lifeguard has to work. That's unacceptable!
I tried to convince him that I would swim near the edge and thus be able to influence the hose myself if it came near another swimmer. Perhaps you've experienced this too! Do you have any ideas on how to eliminate or at least reduce this danger? I'm thinking of oxygen hoses colored with a high-visibility dye! Does such a thing exist?
Well, I've had another experience. A friend is sorry that I'm feeling so bad. I asked her why now? I'm feeling fine now. Before, there wasn't enough oxygen to build muscle, because muscles need oxygen to function. Also, the digested food couldn't be burned off and was stored in the body. Burning food also requires oxygen.
The heart and lungs are like the engine and air filter in a car. Except a car also needs gasoline or diesel, but I don't like the taste of that and would rather have a steak or a sausage 😉
Yes, I've had some good initial experiences with the Turbo Booster, my "Schuffi," as I like to call the mobile device. Because now people can finally see that I have the illness. Until now, it wasn't outwardly visible and therefore not noticeable to others. This, in turn, makes many things easier in everyday life, which I'm very happy about.
