The board of Alpha1 Germany

I am looking forward to the new tasks and would like to briefly introduce myself:

I was born on August 12, 1969, in Bad Kissingen and am therefore 52 years old. I live in the small village of Waldberg (population 562) in the municipality of Sandberg, which lies in the beautiful Bavarian Rhön region on the border with Hesse and Thuringia.

I have been married to my wife, Marissa Bühner, since 2017. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, mountain biking, and I am a passionate downhill skier. I have been a member of the Alpha-1 Germany association since August 2018 and have alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency with the PiZZ genotype. Since August 2018, I have also been receiving prolastin from Grifols as a replacement therapy from my family doctor, who, fortunately for me, has his practice just around the corner from my home.
Since December 2019, I have also been participating in the very promising Alpha-1 study "AROAAT2002" by Prof. Dr. Pavel Strnad and his team at Aachen University Hospital. It is a very exciting collaboration based on mutual respect.
Professionally, I am employed full-time as a cadastral technician in the Bavarian Surveying Administration (state official of the Free State of Bavaria) in the Office for Digitization, Broadband and Surveying Bad Kissingen - branch office Bad Neustadt adSaale.
