Travel for All
– a nationally recognized labeling system in Germany.

Accessibility in tourism – quality, transparency and participation
Information provided by Susanne Traut, March 2026

„Travel for All“ is the nationwide standardized information and labeling system for barrier-free travel in Germany.

„Travel for All“ aims to provide reliable and transparent information on accessibility along the entire tourism service chain in order to support independent travel and the corresponding planning.

What exactly does "travel for all" mean?

Specially trained experts gather all information relevant to travelers with disabilities on site. The assessment

  • This is done according to clearly defined quality criteria.
    • takes place independently (no self-assessment by the companies)
    • includes not only accommodations, but also tourist regions, hiking and cycling trails, museums and other tourist attractions
    • is based on criteria developed jointly with advocacy groups for affected individuals
    • is reviewed and updated every three years

All information about the marked offers can be found on our website – including detailed descriptions and pictures of the participating businesses.

Particular attention is paid to the needs of people with visual or hearing impairments, deaf people, blind people, people with walking disabilities, wheelchair users and people with cognitive impairments.

Wanderlust instead of barrier frustration

„Travel for All“ shows which businesses and destinations
• act innovatively and sustainably
• take into account the needs of different guest groups
• Place value on inclusive coexistence
• Include guests instead of excluding them

Accessible travel is
• indispensable for approximately 10 % of the population,
• helpful for around 40 %
• and comfortable for 100 %.

In this context, we would like to inform you about the Website revision You can find information there. There you will find all marked offers as well as further information about the system:
