Our first meeting of 2018 was well attended, and we were especially pleased that Dr. A. Wilke participated. Many members took this opportunity to ask their personal questions. Various topics were discussed,

  • Questions about self-substitution.
  • Questions arose about the procedures for infusions in Spain for those with statutory health insurance. Mr. Schulz provided the answers, having lived in Spain for an extended period. Mr. Schulz also introduced himself to our members as a new Alpha 1 member.
  • Questions about carrying oxygen on an airplane, etc.
  • Regarding the topic of how to inhale correctly, information was provided that repeat demonstrations on this subject are desired.
  • Members were informed that an information event will take place on February 28, 2018, Rare Disease Day, at Alexanderplatz in Berlin, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The "Achse" initiative is making a statement, and the event is scheduled to begin at 12:30 PM. All interested parties are invited.

Dr. A. Wilke also informed the group that Alpha Mobile will continue to operate. The Evangelical Lung Clinic Berlin/Buch will remain an Alpha 1 Center, and patients with problems should schedule appointments through the secretary's office. Dr. Andreas Wilke has bid farewell to the Alpha-1 Berlin/Brandenburg self-help group.
