Alpha1 Youth Quiz

We were all a bit tired from the journey to Gera. Besides, we didn't know each other very well yet. The unspoken question hung in the air: What are we actually doing here? And then I came along and introduced myself to the "big" kids and teenagers: "Hi! I'm Miriam. And I have the honor of hosting a quiz with you all tonight..."

There was a knock at the door of the relatively large room, and stragglers arrived. Okay. Let's start again: "Hi! I'm Miriam. And I have the honor of working on a quiz with you this evening." A few chuckles. "But only if you want to, of course." Silence. "We don't have to do it. It's just a suggestion..." Silence. (Where was that little hole you can sneak into again?) Oh well. What did I learn in Göttingen? Straighten my crown and carry on. "We could also do a little dancing around the tables to loosen things up!" Speaking of tables, the girls then came up with the brilliant suggestion of simply researching some questions online in smaller groups. From then on, things went smoothly—and really well! The goal of raising awareness among the young people was the first step, and the following Saturday, the parents were allowed to answer the questions. On Saturday evening, the two quiz masters were honored with a quickly crafted "trophy" filled with sweets.

Conclusion: I learned some amazing things and ended up having a lot of fun!“
