The BURDEN Initiative is a research project investigating the impact of non-cystic fibrosis (CF) bronchiectasis (NCFBE) on the daily lives of affected individuals and their caregivers.

They are also known as non-cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis, non-CF bronchiectasis, or simply bronchiectasis. Bronchiectasis is a chronic, often progressive lung disease characterized by irreversible, abnormal dilation of the bronchi and chronic symptoms.
