Since summer 2021, preventative medical treatments at health resorts and spas have once again been covered by statutory health insurance. This aims to place greater emphasis on preventative care. Health insurance companies contribute to the costs, meaning that preventative treatments are no longer solely available to those paying out of pocket. Applications are submitted in conjunction with the patient's primary care physician.
