2018 Review of the SHG-Münsterland

Correct - MünsterlandTo reach a wider circle of people seeking help, we have changed our group name from SHG-Münster to SHG-Münsterland.
In 2018, there were four group meetings at the Waldhaus an de Miälkwellen inn in Ladbergen. Our annual “social gathering“This year's meeting took place in Haltern am See. We enjoyed a generous breakfast at the Landhaus Föcker and had a lovely day in a relaxed atmosphere. This year's meeting is planned to be near Bielefeld.
The general meeting and information day of Alpha 1 Deutschland e. V. took place in Göttingen on April 20th and 21st, 2018.
The first MHH patient seminar for Alpha1 antitrypsin deficiency took place on May 25, 2018, in Hanover. Several topics were addressed, including infections, lung transplantation, and treatments ranging from inhalation therapy to gene editing.
The 22nd Alpha1 Patient Day at the Ruhrland Clinic in Essen took place on October 20, 2018. Results of the liver study were presented, as well as information on the diagnosis of AATD and its next steps, inhalation systems, Alpha-1, and emotions.
2019 dates for the SHG-Münsterland
Our group meetings this year will take place as usual at 11:00 AM in the Waldhaus an de Miälkwellen, Grevener Straße 43 in 49549 Ladbergen on the following four dates:
- March
- June
- September
- December
We try to get a sales representative from an oxygen supplier and a physiotherapist to attend one of these meetings to discuss breathing techniques.
The contacts have already been established. It's just a matter of scheduling a meeting.
The motto for 2019 of Alpha1 Germany eV: Get off the sofa – get into life! We also want to actively participate in this for our Münsterland group. Therefore, a short hike (with Viking games and Smovey rings) is planned for July on the grounds of last year's state garden show in Bad Iburg.

Furthermore, MCG Medical Consulting Group – a medical consulting firm – is planning this year's AlphaCare Regional Days and would like to hold an event on August 3rd, 2019, focusing on emergency management.
