Rare Disease Day at the Dessau-Roßlau Municipal Hospital on February 22, 2025
On February 22, 2025, the Rare Disease Day took place again at the Dessau-Roßlau Municipal Hospital. Apart from the years affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, our self-help group, under the names SHG Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt, has participated every year since 2014.
The patron of this event is always the Minister-President of Saxony-Anhalt, Dr. Reiner Haselhoff, who visited us again this year. During his visit, we were able to draw his and his delegation's attention to the disease "Alpha-1-ATM" and the association Alpha1-Deutschland e.V.
The event started at 9:00 a.m. with a tour of the information booths. Afterwards, there were medical presentations on the topic of rare diseases. Several well-known support groups from Leipzig were also present. I was personally delighted about that, as I've known these faces for ages.
I would especially like to thank Anke Dietze, who is always willing to participate in such events for the SHG and the association and to support me in doing so.
