SHG Alpha-1 Berlin/Brandenburg meeting

Hello everyone, here's our last message for 2017 regarding the aforementioned meeting. The main focus of our meeting was the revisiting of how to correctly use your inhalers. For this, we had a guest speaker from the pulmonology and bronchial practice of Dr. med.
Grit Lammert-Hünger, along with medical assistant Deborah, was invited to give a presentation. Following the motto "Volunteers needed," the various inhalers used by our members were demonstrated. The demonstration explained the correct usage and what to consider. Information on storing the inhalers was also provided. Ms. Deborah spoke about the different inhalation aids (spacers) and demonstrated various applications. Although we had already heard this information and had seen demonstrations on the topic, we found this refresher course necessary.
Another topic discussed was the use of the new transfer set for Prolastin infusions, particularly during travel. Doctors are unfamiliar with this system and are experiencing difficulties as a result. This contrasts with the situation in individual pulmonology practices, where training sessions have been conducted and the use of the new system is working better there, although occasional problems still occur.
Here are the dates for the SHG meetings for 2018, always at the same location:
February 16, 2018; May 11, 2018; August 17, 2018 and November 16, 2018
The SHG Alpha-1 Berlin/Brandenburg wishes all members and the board personal well-being for the year 2018.
