A word about finances – Issue 1/2019

Dear members,
First, I would like to apologize for my somewhat premature announcement in this section of the previous issue of our journal, 2/18, regarding the procedure for collecting membership fees for 2019. Contrary to my earlier announcement, the annual fees valid up to that point were collected as usual before the members' meeting in Göttingen. Despite the complete switch to our club software, there were no irregularities, with only a few "special cases".
At the members' meeting, the motion to increase membership fees retroactively to January 1, 2019, from €26.00 to €30.00 for full members and from €13.00 to €15.00 for family members, was unanimously approved. The outstanding difference (€4.00/€2.00) will be collected shortly.
Please remember to send a short message to our membership administration (mitgliederverwaltung@alpha1-deutschland.org) if your bank details and/or address should ever change.
Regardless of the recently decided membership fee adjustment, you are of course welcome to voluntarily increase your membership fee. A short email to me is perfectly sufficient. We are delighted that some members are already using this method to further support the association and thus express their special connection to Alpha1 Germany e.V.
In this context, I would also like to mention that the fantastic sum of €174 was collected in our Alpha1 piggy bank during the event in Göttingen.
