A word about finances – Issue 2/2020

Dear members,
At this point, I could make things particularly easy for myself with my financial report: My article in the summer issue is still relevant in almost every respect. Whether you look at the situation surrounding the coronavirus pandemic or our finances, hardly anything has changed in the past six months.

Uncertainties and risks regarding Covid-19 are currently increasing significantly again. The local economy is in lockdown, but according to our finance minister, there is still sufficient money available to provide necessary financial support.

As a self-help organization, we welcome this statement and are confident that there will be no restrictions or even cuts in the short and medium term regarding the payment of funding by the GKV Joint Funding for Self-Help at the federal level.

Our club's financial situation remains very sound. Thanks to lower costs this year due to the lack of in-person events and limited travel, we've been able to build up a bit of a reserve. We'd like to share these additional funds with you next year at our 20th anniversary celebration, hopefully with a lively party and a few special treats. We'll all certainly have earned it after such a successful year!
