So here we sit, looking at photos from the last group leader meeting, deeply saddened to announce that Heinz Dohmen passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2024. It all happened very suddenly and unexpectedly. He accepted his transplant for many years as if it were simply a part of his life; he never complained, quite the opposite, always smiling, sometimes very quiet, but always reliable and cheerful. He was only 63 and just beginning his retirement; he will be missed by us, the group leaders, and our community. He and his deputy, Birgit, brought the Münsterland group together, creating a close-knit group of friends. The regular meetings were characterized by positive thinking, wonderful exchanges, and, above all, friendship.
Our thoughts are especially with his wife Christine, who will need a lot of strength in the coming time.
Heinz will live on in our hearts!
