The Institute for Medical Informatics at Goethe University Frankfurt, located at Frankfurt University Hospital, and Hof University of Applied Sciences have jointly released an app as part of the project „SelEe - Researching rare diseases through citizen science“.

The app was developed as a digital diary and companion in collaboration with people affected by rare diseases. Health data such as symptoms, sleep, diet, and physical activity can be recorded and analyzed as needed. The app can be downloaded for free from the Apple and Google Play stores.

The app complies with current legal and ethical frameworks and has been reviewed by experts. The project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.

Further information about the SelEe app can be found in the articles at the following links:

The data entered into the app is used for research purposes, which must be confirmed again during registration. It's not intuitive to use, so we strongly recommend watching the explanatory videos!
