We have now been living with the virus for a whole year, and there is no end in sight. The virus has practically paralyzed our self-help group.
Members fortunate enough to live in major cities or at least have access to high-speed internet can use the online services. But what about those who don't have access to the World Wide Web?
What about older members who have no interest in "new media"?
We shouldn't forget these and should use the good old-fashioned method of sending a letter by post. We tried to maintain contact with our members by putting together a package for each of them. It contained flyers from Alpha1 Germany e.V., Alpha1 Journals, brochures, patient library materials, and promotional items such as a sports bag, a four-function ballpoint pen, and, of course, our popular peppermint candies.
The reaction was overwhelmingly positive!
Many thanks to everyone who is there for us during this difficult time, and especially to the members who continue to stay in contact with us via WhatsApp group and telephone.
Take care, we'll be able to see each other again this year. That's number one on our agenda.
