SHG Weser-Ems with new management

Dear members of the self-help groups,
It's not over... our group lives on! First, let me briefly introduce myself: I'm Lothar Renken-Nickel, 56 years old, and an Alpha ZZ. I received my diagnosis almost three years ago and, of course, my world fell apart. I've been on opioid substitution therapy for about a year now and have since recovered – life goes on.
I wanted to register for this year's group meeting but discovered that the group no longer exists. Based on my contacts with Marion Wilkens and Thomas Heimann from the board of Alpha 1 Germany, as well as with Marianne Junk, I decided to take over the leadership of the Alpha 1 self-help group Weser-Ems.
I would be pleased if all recipients of this email would get in touch with me briefly. That way I can see if and whom I've reached. I'm also interested to know if you would still like to participate in group meetings. I, for one, would very much like to, especially since there's really no better way to exchange ideas…
I can't say for sure yet whether I'll be able to organize a meeting this year.
If desired, I/we will definitely try.
With that in mind, I wish you a wonderful long weekend and plenty of oxygen at all times.
