It was a complete success.
The Döbeln community garden https://buergergarten-doebeln.de It was renovated and expanded again during the Corona pandemic. A beautiful restaurant is now open to guests once more, and we were able to hold our group meeting there. Fantastic ambiance meets excellent cuisine – that's how I would describe it!
The pictures on the website clearly show the facility: the small pond with the fountain and historic water pedal boats, which we used as a backdrop. The team at the restaurant gave us a very warm welcome and treated us to delicious food.
The conversations we had throughout the afternoon mainly revolved around the past summer, which was indeed another hot one, and the holidays our members took, extending to the use of the various oxygen systems! I was particularly interested in the pros and cons of the different oxygen applications, as I'll probably be switching from liquid to a concentrator. It's simply the better choice for my activity level.
Several families were celebrating at the other tables next to us in the Döbeln community garden. Our casual presence with oxygen equipment, along with the brochures, journals, and Alpha1 pouches we had on display, sparked interest in Alpha1 here and there. As a result, some guests even took our DVD on pulmonary exercise with them. So, we know how to advertise!
Outlook for 2023:
The first group meeting of 2023 will take place in April and will once again be a culinary experience. Just wait and see what I come up with! There will probably be fewer activities, but more discussions and possibly a presentation on the correct use and maintenance of assistive devices!
We will plan and organize the second group meeting of 2023 at the beginning of September, for which we have decided on a boat tour through the canals and waterways of Leipzig.
So much for a preview of the coming year, which we will hopefully be able to carry out entirely without fears of the coronavirus!
Greetings from Leipzig!
Yours truly, Udo
