To showcase everything we experience in our Alpha1 world and to report on all the latest news, a 48-page journal is no longer sufficient. Have you visited our website? But the journal also has its place; sometimes you simply want to hold something in your hands in printed form. In this issue, we primarily report on our information day. We had a wonderful weekend in Göttingen, starting as usual on Friday with the members' meeting. I personally enjoyed the day immensely: we felt so much gratitude, received so much praise, and many people approached us to offer their support. My thanks to everyone who was there.
The information day was once again packed with information presented by excellent speakers. All reports can be found in this journal.
Our 2018 motto, "Resilience," has proven to be well-chosen; we heard a great deal about it at our information day. New this year was a discussion group just for family members, where many topics were addressed that we would like to explore further in the future. It takes a lot of strength to live with us Alphas, and even more strength when the other person is no longer there. We felt this painfully when Bernd Lempfert, our treasurer, passed away on June 3rd. I wish you resilience—or, more simply, "psychological resilience"—and, of course, a wonderful summer filled with good health.
